One of the lesser known classics on the legendary Prelude records, Electric Funk's "On A Journey" sounds pretty much exactly as the name and title states. It's truly a trip taken on by synths and drum machines. Eric Matthew produced this song in 1982 but it really sounds as if it was from 83 or 84. I have no other info on this release other than that. What I can say is that this groove will get you. I put up the instrumental version with an extended intro (as I tend to do) for download. This groove will fit very nicely into any boogie or even electro set and is very suitable for long mixes. You can also take it to the next level and mix an acapella over top. Use your imagination and take a journey into electronic funk.
